Each season I love to get a few new pieces to add to my wardrobe but lately I’ve been strapped because we’re sticking to our budget really tight and I had to spend most of our clothes money on the kiddos new stuff… someone tell them to stop growing!  I could have been bummed looking at all the new trends and cute clothes but that never did anybody any good.  Instead, I used this to make the most of the classics in my closet.  I recreated new looks with old classics… If you have some quality pieces you can always count on them.

I went online and looked at the new arrivals from some of my fav places as well as recent emails and I pinned the styles I really loved!  If you recognize, each new season styles stay mostly the same, brands simply change some small detail up with what’s trending.  For example, the plaid shirt is a staple every autumn.  It usually just ranges in colors and shapes…

Same goes for denims and pants…

I found a gorgeous look I loved from anthro and I searched my closet and found some pieces that helped me recreate the look.  They had a model in a plaid off the shoulder with some gold and turquoise jewels.  It was the look I was most drawn to so I chose to go with a plaid low neck line top that I purchased at target last year.  For the jewelry I decided to try the choker look.  I really love the look of chokers!   I happened to have a rustic style choker from our local leather jeweler that went well…

I used a simple and clean makeup look with a rich, fall lip to accent with some color.  I linked the color here (dior -black tie).
