Autumn is the best season in the Ozarks and always the one we look forward to most. We love to experience new places but it’s hard to beat the fall traditions of ours this time of year here. Sticking with our staples, I’m sharing our two favorites spots for some seasonal adventures that our family cherishes. I hope these tried and true places inspire your next family play day! A Day Long Stay- It wouldn’t be a proper fall if we didn’t visit our local pumpkin patch. We’re lucky enough to have an amazing attraction right down the road so we usually choose a day to drive over, set up a picnic, and enjoy the festivities! With everything from a hay ride to a corn maze you will find all kinds of something for everyone in the family! There is a petting zoo, a cow train, rope swings, pumpkin ball, sack slides, a corn jump, and the list goes on! It’s a great way to kick off the season and stock up on all your fall favorites. They have pumpkins, crafts, and lots of fun food goods too!! I’ve introduced Right Choices Corn Maze a time or two before, but if you missed out then find my previous shares here and here!

A Weekend Away- I feel like it’s important to note that I’m completely aware I probably overshare about Big Cedar and all it’s amenities, but it’s our favorite place around and it will hopefully forever be a staple in our fall family traditions. Since we’re lovers of the great outdoors and the Ozarks, there is truly no other place that even comes close to comparing. You can do camping, lodging, fishing, laking, horse riding, biking, hiking, golfing, sight seeing… If you’re into the more indoor kinda vaca’s then head to fun mountain or plan a spa day. The food is my favorite and if you’re reading this and know me very well then you understand how important that is!! They really do have all you can imagine and more! We’ve worked with them lots and shared some highlights of what they offer here and here before. Not only do they have Big Cedar with Top of the Rock, but also Dogwood Canyon, Wonders of Wildlife, Camp Long Creek, and of course Bass Pro. We go all the time and never tire of the experience and variety.
