Outdoor Brands For My Boys…

February 24, 2020

Filed in: family wear

We went to Big Cedar this past fall to shoot a tv commercial, and the boys took advantage between every action to toss the ball around in the great outdoors. If they get a free minute you better believe their finding a place to play football.

It was a really fun experience for us and we were so excited to be a part of it. The commercial is now airing on nationally televised networks like the travel and golf channels. Big Cedar has always been close to our heart as well as all things Johnny Morris has created. Our shared love for the outdoors and the Ozarks is unmatched.

When it’s time to shop for our family’s wardrobe, especially the boys, we love outdoor brands like Johnny Morris Bass Pro. We strive to support American and local businesses because we believe it’s important to have strong support for brands to grow and be successful and we want to see our community have success of course! It takes so much effort and energy to create a business and I have the utmost respect for those who do it with high integrity, bold vision, and a heart for people over profit. I’m so thankful to live in this land of opportunity where we can pursue big dreams and be creative. So many good things come from entreprepreneurship.

Some other outdoor brands I’m learning about and loving are Huckberry, Fayettechill, and the Bearded Goat. The latter two are local companies that are making some amazing strides in the industry and I’m so proud of their hard work and well made products. Our community is growing a lot of promising startups and it’s so cool to see! These businesses are leading the way and launching much more than a brand. There is a movement of brands integrating into our lifestyles and I love it! I think it’s important to get behind brands that are taking a stand on something they believe in and building more than just a business. These are movers, and shakers, and statement makers. They are creating brands that inspire us to be more of who we desire to be. They are opening doors for lots of potential and endless possibilities. I’m proud to promote them.

While we’re on the topic of promoting products, I would love to pick your brain a bit about something new I’m considering… it would have a direct effect on you as a reader of this platform so I want to inform you and get your feedback!

I was recently invited to be a part of Reward Style, which is the Like To Know It platform. I wanted to share a bit about this with you all and get your feedback on whether you’d appreciate posts with links to products? Reward Style is an affiliate that I would partner with to recieve profit from products I share on my platform that are purchased. For example, if I share my favorite brands for the boys I could add links to my favorite styles and curate a shoppable link for you all to have access to. Ideally it would be beneficial to all involved as it would be fun for me to create a taste makers guide to give you all more specific style ideas, and it would allow me to earn a percentage of any products that are purchased from my shoppable links I share with you. You could shop my style guides from my site and posts as well as my social channels.

I’m considering participating in this but wanted to hear your opinions on whether it would be valuable to you? I of course don’t want to spend my time on something that wouldn’t be a good direction to take my readers. I’d appreciate your feedback so much on this project! Do you use the like to know it app? Do you like it?

I personally have just begun using it to get ideas from influencers I share taste with. I am impressed with how clean and simple it is. It’s definitely something I’d use if I were a fashion blogger or design blogger. With my platform being a range of family topics I never considered it before. I think it would blend well with a lot of what I share about though. I have always wanted to be cautious pressuring people to buy things… I would never want to lead people towards a negative habit of compulsive spending. I fear that a lot of people use the platform poorly like that… With that said, I also think it could be a complimentary tool for sharing ideas and inspirations! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Keep Living For The Most Friends!

all the warmest, xx
