Who is ready for a fresh start… a clean slate? This time of year is always a time I get motivated to get back to basics and declutter our home and lives.. Getting a fresh perspective on what’s working and what’s not and adjust a little.

Last year I read a wonderful book called Essentialism and I am reading it again which means it’s THAT good… because I usually don’t read books twice. It’s not necessarily a homemaking book but it definitely can be useful in the home as well as managing a home. I highly recommend it to start your new year with some great inspiration. If you don’t read any other book this year- read this one;)

I challenge you with it because it enlightens you on how to deal with the overload of the society we live in. Over and over, I hear women and men talk and complain about so much to do and so little time… I struggle with the frustration as well 🙁

This is why I decided to focus my blog towards useful ideas that can help inspire us to live more simply in our homemaking journeys. We owe it to ourselves and our families to change this pattern and have more control of our lives!
