Never thought of myself as an entrepreneur until I began blogging…
I have always been the type of person who has known what I wanted and went after it… I knew my career choice as a young person and I attended college, graduated and went straight to work. I soon realized that something just didn’t feel right. I am 100% glad that I chose my career in education. It has provided me with wonderful jobs that are fulfilling and also helped me in my personal life raising a family. However, I have always had a pull to do something that gave me more freedom, and more possibility.
I have been fortunate enough the past few years to work part time which allowed me to do some soul searching and discover that I really love entruepuenership and the opportunity and meaning in blogging. The more I learn about it the more I fall in love. I started following my first blog a few years ago… It was a fashion blog and I thought to myself what a brilliant idea! I could find my style through this outlet online and basically have a personal stylist telling me all the right things to do that were actually working! It saved me so much time and energy and from there I was hooked… Now I use the internet for practically everything I endeavor to be better at. Its simply magical how good it is.
This being said, I realized that this was for me… this was a way I could utilize my skills, gifts, and passions to serve others as well as grow a business and hopefully a career;)
Its something I’m so passionate about and feels so right because it reflects my life and its part of who I am. It doesn’t feel like work but more a creative outlet. A way to document my lifestyle while at the same time giving people ideas and insights. Win win… right?
I feel so strongly about it that I committed myself to it long term. It’s like a modern scrapbook. Whether it becomes a business or not, I will still do it for myself and also for even one person that is reading it;) I care a lot about people and even if I can help one person through doing this that would be great!
I know that there are learning curves and growing yourself and a business takes time. I’m in that season of it and thank heavens LEARNING is one of my strengths and passions because by golly there’s a lot to LEARN!
My dream would be to eventually become a respected blogger. To profit from blogging and in the end have a career as a blogger.
I wanted to share this with you today because it’s on my heart and it’s my story and well… it is helpful for me to share and helpful for you to know!
Have a great day friends
love the journey!
