A Satisfying Bath Space

March 5, 2020

Filed in: family haven

This past month I worked on refreshing our bath space. We have been running ragged on towels and everyone is always looking for a towel or holloring downstairs that we’re out of clean ones. I updated that situation… I read somewhere that you should have 2-3 towels for each member of the family that way you should not typically run out before the next laundry cycle. I feel like 10 -15 towels in our home is pretty satisfactory for our family of five.

While I was updating and trying to make the bath space more satisfying, I bought a few basics to make it more user friendly and inviting. I’ve always kept our q-tips and cotton balls in a drawer but I decided to buy some canisters to house them and allow for easier access when their needed. I found the prettiest little bud vase from Magnolia and thought a few statement stems complimented the vase well.

When I’m shopping for small details to spruce things up, I always try to purchase timeless styles that could be functional in a range of rooms and also be repurposed over time. I look at antique stores, local shops and some of my favorite brands when I’m on the hunt. I’m personally inspired by Devol when it comes to bath and kitchen spaces. They’ve influenced my taste a lot. I love how the items they style are vintage and collected as if they’ve been used for years all around but finally found their perfect practicality and place.

I’ve been trying to make it a priority this year to add in more personal touches to our home with pops of color, texture, and meaning. How do you make your bath space satisfying? Are some staples a must? Please share!
